ISO: ISO What to do with a 3-lb gigundo paypaya! Made smoothies already ;o)

In Search Of:
I love papaya salsa to go over grilled chicken breasts, chicken burgers>>>

or even fish. Over the summer I take advantage of the cheaper prices of strawberries, peaches, watermelon, papaya or whatever fruit and I puree them and package it in containers and freeze. I like to drain the liquid out of a container (overnight) and then replace it with the puree. Add a little honey and vanilla...yum. I also make up the smoothie mixture, puree strawberries, peaches, banana, papaya or Mango and freeze. Then I can just pull it out and let it defrost a little and then puree with raspberry sorbet. I have a recipe from Bobby Flay (Food TV) that I am going to make next week that sound great. Grilled Jerk Chicken with Mango Cilantro Salsa. You could just substitute Papaya for the Mango. Or I'll take some....;^)

I sit here, head hung in shame, forced to admit that I googled "gigundo papaya" because

I thought it was a new variety.

Daniel Webster has officially disowned me.

Funny, I did the same thing. Got a whole bunch of tropical fruit for

my "lost" party, then whirled them all together and froze some.

All I could think of was smoothies though. I like the idea of making them into salsa, too. Could you post BF's recipe if it's not too much trouble? Thanks.

Yes, sorry. I like hoe dictionary.com doesn't list "gigundo", but instead asks

you if you meant "gig_undo", and then when you click on "gig_undo", it comes back with "No results found for gig undo"! Lol
