Reiman Publications has a BB, but it has a lot of off-topic posts in with the food posts. Also, Readers Digest bought out Reiman and plan to make the BB available only to the people who subscribe to one of the magazines published by the Reiman division.

 
There's a 'home cooking' board at chowhound.com, not as warm & friendly as this board but

still very informative and folks happy to provide interesting links to recipes and food information.

 
I used to like kitchenlink.com - haven't been there in a long time though. People changed, came...

and went, found myself there with a bunch of people I didn't really know after they took away their forum (and promptly brought it back in a month or so).

 
I spent time on Garden Web and Recipezaar and

while there are interesting things if you dig far enough, they could not hold my attention for several reasons. Mimi's site is the best by a long shot. I don't even bother going anywhere else now.

 
This site is by far the best! Other than that, I visit egullet.org, occasionally, mostly the pastry

forum. I used to use the Recipezaar forums, but grew to hate them, so I stopped altogether. Now I use Recipezaar strictly for recipe searches.
