ISO: ISO: Your input please - do you think whoopie pies would freeze well?

I was going to make some mini red velvet whoopie pies (just to try out a recipe - don't really have an occasion to serve them) and I'm wondering if they would freeze well. Truthfully I've never had a whoopie pie so I don't know anything about its texture and how it would react to freezing. Not worried about the cream cheese filling - that will freeze well.

Deb, I'd freeze the cake and the frosting separately. Perhaps you planned to do that already...

 
Thanks Traca...am planning to make tomorrow and now have found

recipients for it! My vet is moving into a big new building this weekend and tons of volunteers are helping out. So I'm going to bring cookies to them:)
