To Pat for the reminder to pick up a daily activity list.

To Orchid and Michael for restaurant suggestions. Unfortunately we ended up cancelling our dinner reservation at La Hacienda because--as Larry puts it--it was 100% in the 30% possibility of rain. I called the restaurant to see if there was a taxi service that could get us from the hotel over to the Expot restaurant, some secret back entrance, but no...we would have had to walk through the rain. We had umbrellas, but Larry had fallen and his knee wasn't up to another trek through the park. We ended up at BlueZoo (Tood English) which was very good.

(I'm pretty sure if Tom Cruise made that same phone call, a helicopter would have picked him up.)

Michael, thanks again for the Soar'n recommendation. We went there early and got FastPass (who would NOT use that option?), but then we went on the Mission Space ride---the advance version. My friends, it was NOT pretty. I, as Navigator, managed to land us on Mars safely, but left the ride queazy, wheezy, and the world wouldn't stop spinning. (A coworker was on the test team and said the ride is based on forward and reverse centrifical force. WHY didn't I hear this BEFORE I got on.) That ride pretty much ruined the next 4 hours of my day. We went back to Soar'n for our 11:00 am FastPass and just walking past the sounds of RaceTrack got me nauseated all over again. We squeaked by getting tickets for a 3:00 PM Soar'n and then they covered the machines with the "Velvet Hood of You Are Now Screwed And Must Wait in Line with Hundreds of Other Mere Mortals." Two very sad people were suddenly VERY HAPPY when I handed them our 11:00 am tickets.

And my very sincere thanks to colleen, who warned me that our original hotel was a good distance away. We switched over to the Dolphin and it was perfect for getting around on the boats or even walking. Larry had a spa treatment so he was one happy camper.

Due to Larry's tripping/falling/hurting knee and my nausea, we missed most of the garden show. But it was still a very nice trip. Note: the french pastries were terrible (amazingly, I made better pastry cream than they do), but the sweet bread from the same bakery was very good warmed up.

We had our final breakfast at Cat Cora's on The Boardwalk as it was only a short 10 minute walk from the Dolphin. It was tasty....sweet potato hash with artichoke spread and poached eggs may be my new favorite breakfast.

Thanks again.

Sounds "Magical!" (Tx for sharing! Despite all the stuff, it must be fun to have Lar time and

have time away from the office!)

I personally love the boardwalk. I have not been in years, so I did not want to chime in, because my experiences are dated. But I have stayed in quite a few of the disney spots. I loved that the boardwalk offered me the opportunity to be on "site" and could come back to the hotel early in the pm and still have time to walk around and experience disney but be walking distance from the hotel. (I am not a night owl!)
