And since H.R.H. QEII of England will be at the Derby this year, you might want to break out a strawberry cream tea will all the frills (yes that IS Mint Julep in the punch bowl).

(Equus of Louisville)

· 2 cups Woodford Reserve bourbon

· ½ cup brown-sugar syrup (boil 2 cups of brown sugar in 1 cup water until reduced to ½ cup syrup)

· ½ cup Tuaca Italian liqueur

· ½ cup Smucker's strawberry syrup

· Fresh strawberries, sliced, to taste

· Fresh star fruit, sliced, to taste

Combine liquids and syrups in a 1½-quart pitcher with ice. Add sliced strawberries and star fruit to taste.
