It's pumpkin time of the year! I made 8 Pumpkin Cheesecakes w/ Cognac this wk. (4 on Mon & 4 on

Tues) to serve to a big crowd on Wednesday (a Veterans' Day celebration at our local Senior Center). Yes, all eight were done in water baths. Received lots of compliments! I have posted this before, but see the link below if you've forgotten about this particular dessert recipe that I can guarantee is a T & T many times over. Two people specifically told me they do NOT like pumpkin, but they devoured their slices of my Pumpkin Cheesecake. Enjoy!http://eat.at/swap/forum/index.php?action=display&forumid=1&msgid=93180

Hi, Traca--we are in southern IN--about an hour's drive slightly SE from downtown Indianapolis.

The Taste of Chocolate date hasn't been set yet for 2016, but is always BEFORE Feb 14. They discovered some years ago that if they schedule it too close to Valentine's Day, no restaurants nor caterers will agree to participate because all are too busy preparing for their own restaurant crowds and catering orders. I'll let you know the date as soon as I hear. Funny that you asked now because I was just flipping through my chocolate file yesterday where I stash new RECs w/ which to hit the public that have caught my eye over the past.

So glad U liked this. I have had people tell me: 1) I don't like pumpkin, and/or 2) I don't like

cheesecake so I coax them to try one bite and bingo, they are asking for a slice of it and telling me, "Oh, I can eat THIS!" The pumpkin isn't as intense a flavor as is the case with pumpkin pie, and my doing the cheesecake in a water bath solves the issue of folks who don't like a dense cheesecake. Most people have never eaten fresh cheesecake, but rather the frozen commercial varieties and therein lies a BIG taste difference, IMHO.
