a turkey last night (early Thanksgiving). What's the best way to keep it? Not a whole lot of room in the freezer, but I could try putting them in ice cube trays again and hope I don't forget about them!

Or... how long will it last in the refrigerator?

Any good recipes to use it up? Besides soup I mean. Come to think of it, any good turkey soup recipes?! Thanks.

I agree Steve. This would be good for Kitchen Tips. I ordered a fresh turkey

today with the intention of picking it up after work on Wednesday. The meat clerk said "Oh, it will be very crowded" and I told him since it's a fresh turkey, it's not a good idea to pick it up prematurely. He went on to say that many people are picking up the same fresh turkeys now and well ahead of time and keeping them in the fridge. He claims since they're shrink-wrapped that the shelve life is about two weeks or so. I just told him I would pick up the turkey by Tuesday...

People need to know the dangers. You're a good food policeman Steve!

Ziploc bag!

Pour the stock into either 1 large or a few small ziplocs and freeze them flat on a baking tray or plate and then when they're frozen solid you can fit them in almost anywhere in the freezer...

If you have a food saver system, even better, you get all the air out!

1-2 days for cooked broth?! No, that can't be... why wouldn't it be at least a long as

for cooked fresh turkey, which is 3-4 days?
