Odd, I never make those type of mistakes (phonemes?) when I'm writing by hand,

but when I'm typing their seams too bee a disco necked.

 
It's not just us. In the last few days our newspaper has used

"Lesson Tax Consequences" and "Bare the Brunt" (wonder what a bare brunt looks like?), both in big headlines. My Mom taught English and we take great delight in it all.

 
So that's not just me? It really puzzles me because I do that all the time

and sometimes I don't catch it in emails to parents, which is embarrassing. It's getting worse too - must be age smileys/frown.gif

I *have* to get up at 6 to make sure my high schooler is out of bed, but I am *so* looking forward to winter break so that I don't have to do this.

 
I think it's because we learned to write with pencils and keyboards came later.

It's like learning a second language.
