Joe does the garden feed the homeless and those that need

Yes, when the garden was in full swing we used to have a bimonthly pickup for Food Finders,

who gather excess produce and distribute it to charities and shelters. We had a large demonstration garden and the produce from it was reserved for charity. Gardeners also added their extras.

There is also a shelter in downtown Long Beach that feeds 500 people a day. We often brought them our extras. Gardeners get tired of overabundant zucchini and chard but the shelters are so happy to get it.

I am expecting a walkway or a plot or something with a sign in our honor. It will be helpful when

we visit! : ) I figured Howard Stern had a parkway rest stop named after him for a bit.....

From what I've read about parkway rest stops I'm not sure that was an honor, lol.

But we'll think of something tasteful to honor Eat.at.

We would not be so far ahead without you!

You know I am just teasing... We are all so proud of your accomplishments and are pleased to

support you!
