I made the recipe yesterday afternoon using an 8 oz Hormel ham slice that I'd picked up at a bargain price and had no idea what to do with it. It would probably be even better with leftover baked ham. I also mixed canned and fresh plum tomatoes for the sauce. Served with boiled new potatoes in parsley butter and Spiced Carrots from Epi.
It was fun stuffing the cabbage leaves, had only done it once years ago. I'm glad I have leftovers, so yummy.
