Joy! of party...

My orchestra's concert today went fabulously (Mendelssohn Hebrides Overture, Bach Double Violin Concerto, and Beethoven 8th Symphony). Then we all adjouned to Haus Butz-Jung for a glorious dinner. Our conductor today was the newly appointed associate conductor of the Cincinnati Symphony and we have embraced him and made him our own. He arrived knowing no one, and after spending a few weeks with us capped off with dinner at Richard's, we have a new friend.

The evening ended in the salon with dueling pianos playing show tunes and torch songs, all gathered round for a sing along. This is what makes life worth living.

So, to recap....5 lbs. of pasta, 15 cans of tuna, 6 family sized cans of cream of mushroom soup, 5 lbs. of peas, 3 lbs. of cheddar 1 jar of mayo, etc. etc...will feed 60 people. I'm stuffing leftovers into the freezer and wishing I had toned it back a bit.

Kudos! And it sounds like a lot of fun too. I've been thinking about finding my violin

I haven't tried to play in many years.

Sounds like a perfect evening! Simple food, new and old friends, wonderful

I wish that I too could refer to the dueling pianos in my salon!

It sounds like a most wonderful evening, Richard. And now you've got me pining for

tuna casserole -- which I haven't had in years. It's time! smileys/smile.gif

yay! perhaps posting this in menus might be helpful for a future group TC dinner.

or maybe we need a "volume cooking" topic in T&T for large sized recipes.
