JudyW!!! Your Icebox Butterhorns are marvelous!!! I make 3 so you can put them in T&T now...

question on keeping bread soft.... wasn't there a thread on adding glycerin or something??

Health food stores carry it...but ask one of your friends. Someone--I guarantee--

will have lecithin capsules sitting in the bathroom or kitchen that they've bought and NEVER taken.

Supposedly, it's a good supplement for cholesterol. I wouldn't know. I've got 3 unopened bottles of capsules sitting in my bathroom.

Liquid amount for cookies, etc is usually 1 TBL. That's about 4-5 capsules worth.

One tablespoon = 100 calories of fat.

An easier way to add lecithin to bread...

is to use the granular version. The "liquid" is very viscous and would be hard to incorporate into the dough.
I use the granular lecithin. 1 teaspoon per cup of flour is all you need.
You can buy this in a health food store.

I take it to strengthen nails. It really works. They grow quickly as does my hair.

I just started looking after my nails again and actually measured their growth...6 weeks= 1/2". And stronger. who was asking about this a couple of months ago? Karen?

Definitely agree with judy on the granules. Consider sharing with a friend.

I used mine once and the granules eventually clumped up and took on a smell.

Share the wealth.

Keep the container closed tightly...

and store in the fridge or freezer. They will keep longer that way.
