I have just recently tasted these cookies and they are to die for, so good.

My friend, Melanie makes them with the 1/2 cup of chopped pecans & 1/2 cup of coconut & 1/2 cup of chocolate chips. These are so delicious. She just gave me the recipe and said I could share it here:

JUMBLE COOKIES

INGREDIENTS:

1/2 cup shortening

1 cup brown sugar, firmly packed

1/2 cup granulated sugar

2 eggs

1 cup evaporated milk, undiluted

1 teaspoon vanilla

2 3/4 cups flour, sifted

1/2 teaspoon baking soda

1 teaspoon salt

1/2 cup chopped pecans

1/2 cup coconut

1/2 cup chocolate chips

Preheat oven at 350

PREPARATION:

Cream shortening and sugar; beat in eggs.

Stir in milk and vanilla.

Combine flour, salt, soda and nuts, and then stir into batter.

Chill for 1 hour.

Drop by rounded teaspoonfuls 2 inches apart on a greased baking sheet.

Bake at 350 degrees for about 10 to 12 minutes.

Just a question diane. this seems like a lot of milk for cookie dough. Is it not too wet?
