Just checking in from waterlogged, flooded Middle TN

We are okay - live on a ridge. Been mesmerized this weekend so I didn't get around to much of a weekend six.

DH did send me out in this yesterday to wire money for some car parts. Yes I threatened to kill him because I knew better than to drive through several of the places I drove through high water. Then I wasn't sure I could get home but at least the local firemen told me I could come to the station and hang out until I could get home. Luckily I made it home and luckily DH is still alive and in one piece. I got some pretty neat photos so I guess that sort of made up for it.

But there has been so much damage. I think we are up to 8 or 10 dead so far from drowning. So many houses and businesses flooded and everything lost. I've been through a major flood before but at least it wasn't flash flooding that came up quickly and caught people by surprise like this.
