to make chili or soup. Already made Traca's Asian chicken soup and SP chili. Thinking Dawn's Tomato Soup for tomorrow.

I know not everyone gets snow.... SOO, let's ask, what do you like to do when it is inclement weather???

Best,

Barb

(Can you tell the kid in me, is excited for more snow!! )

Baked goods. Anything... muffins, rolls, quick bread, not desserts so much as

bready things. I love the feeling of being snowed in, too. After a couple of days, I'm climbing the walls, however! Stay safe Barb!

I have a batch of chicken soup on the stove. I made caramel (that turned into butterscotch)

the other day. I baked a cake along with the pot roast. I am going to bake some bread today and I am thinking about making some Boston Baked Peanuts today.
Edited to say that I did make the peanuts and they are good as written. I think the next time I make them, I will use some brown sugar mixed with the white, add the salt to the boiling mixture and use a little more salt. I am not a salt fiend, and I would like a little more salt on them. I did make one and half times the recipe and sprinkled 1/2 teaspoon cayenne with the salt. It's a nice little bit of heat without being overpowering.

Speaking of rolls, this one has me stumped...

A couple of years ago I used to make these cinnamon buns from a bread mix. I know I didn't add yeast, so either it was already in there, or it didn't have any in the mix. I rolled it out flat, made a sugar-cinnamon mixture that I spread on the dough and rolled up, then sliced and baked.

I went to the store today to get some of the mix (I think it was Krusteez) and all I found were quick breads... I know mine wasn't a batter, it was a dough.

Does anyone know what this product might've been? I have no idea. I think it came in a box. Thanks!

sorry, I hit the wrong key, I meant to say I sorted it all out, put the

tried and true in one notebook, the "to try" in another and pitched a lot. I felt as if I had accomplished something. Then I ironed a bit while watching Ina. Lamb chops and mashed cauliflower/potato and a square of a nice chard and mushroom and egg thing I had made a couple of days ago. A nice warm fire and a glass of wine too. A good day.

Can you make it by hand? And then roll it out into a dough? That must be what

I used before, although I never had an ABM. Thanks Ang.

it's just bread dough with maybe fast acting yeast, so it would go together in a bowl just as well
