Just did the flowers for a beautiful wedding and was so impressed with the wedding cake!

It's just a good thing you can't see it TOO close and see how badly I do the ballet wrap smileys/smile.gif

he Bouquets are amazing...would you like the job of doing them here next May ??

with dried flowers or whatever...actually the florist seems to be quite good...it is just that they have to be bought from a florist who will keep them in the cool room till the very last minute...I have tried to ahve arrangements in the house and they die overnight...to bloody hot.....
The florist we use does all the mega yacht arrangements but those boats all have airco and so they last for ages....not so in my house.???

Not all flowers need AC... some need flat or diagonal cut, some need their ends seared...

So many variables. If you can find someone to do it, you will save BIG $$$ -- all the flowers for this wedding (8 bouquets, 16 boutonneires, 3 corsages, 2 tussy mussys, 5 food table arrangements, 2 huge sidewalk arrangements, gate arrangement, several teacup-size, and 12 table arrangements - plus extras) all came to $618. Try doing THAT with a florist!

Wonderful Job Jane! The flowers look beautiful! I love the picture! You should be so happy/proud

to be apart of such an important occasion. $618.00!!! I spent many times that, many years ago! You are very talented to pull together such pretty arrangements!
Best,
Barb

Oh I know it will save many dollars......

but to but that amount of flowers out of the florist fridge will cost much, much more...we can use bouganvillea, this does not always stay fresh. we can also use loads of leaves....every single flower, other than bougainvillea is shipped to the island we live on, we do not have any rivers on this island, all water is desalinated so gardening/growing is a real challenge!!
My DD wants daisys, gerberers, michaelmas, any but those are only occassionally found in the florists.....oh well.....still some months away.
