Just got back from the market and they want $4.99 for artesan whole grain bread!

I refuse to pay that so I'm looking for a recipe. I'd like it crusty on the outside, maybe some molasses, maybe seeds or something on top.

Or just a good recipe that you use all the time. Don't want a bread machine one.

Cyn, you might check out the book Artisan Bread in 5 minutes a day.

I haven't tried it yet, but it's kinda like the no-knead bread but you keep the dough in the fridge and make it as needed over a period of a week or so. There is a chapter for Peasant loaves, and other kinds of breads too. Maybe check the library first before buying it.
