Just had a nice interaction with Williams-Sonoma

I had placed some SALE food items in my cart, but when the shipping was added (almost equal to the items I was buying), I exited without ordering.

A day later, I received an email from W-S gently reminding me that I had items in my cart and they would disappear after so many days. Since they were SALE items, they were processed as ordered.

I replied back to generic W-S email and thanked them for the reminder but that the shipping cost had exceeded my expectations.

The next day I received a generic email from W-S explaining their shipping costs and reasons.

Later that day I received an email with an exuberant Subject line with LUCKY YOU! They had sent me a code for FREE SHIPPING!

So it was back to their website where I INCREASED my sale items and placed the order.

Then I sent a nice email to W-S thanking them for helping out.

Received a nice email back from W-S thanking me for thanking them and allowing them the opportunity to work with their customers.

I'm pretty sure this all happened because it was a food item with a short shelf life, but I'm still very grateful to them for taking the time to listen and work with me.

They are great at treat customers like customers. Years ago we a waffle iron from...

WS. The feet kept breaking. They must have replace that thing four times---with no problems.

FYI---they have a store in Biltmore Village.

That is wonderful! I have always had good service from them, even though they are a bit pricey

I do take advantage of the sales when I can.
