As I may have said, you are going to actually read this book first more than
cook from it. That said, her take on "ordinary" ingredients is SO good and unusual, can't wait to do some of it--mustard green gratin maybe for T'giving. It is organized by ingredient--collards, peaches, grits, etc. And the photography is stunning.
She and Ree Drummond have some things in common--both pursued their lives outside their rural roots and then found their "real" calling right back home. Both had VERY interesting careers before "coming home". And both have VERY good production companies for their shows and cookbooks.
Haven't seen anything more about the movie of Ree Drummond's life story--rights have been sold to _________ (Wild). Can't call the name.
