Just removed this from the oven - Looks Sensational! Bill Yosses & Melissa Clark Blackberry Butter

It looks delicious! Please report on the taste. My DH is

celebrating his birthday next week and I'd love to make this cake for him. He loves blueberries and the cake looks so moist and tasty.

EvaN - The cake was just Delicious and I will be trying it with blackberries also. It is extremely

moist and delicious. Since I used Blueberries and not Blackberries I want to let you know I used a pint of blueberries. I also added some of the flour on the blueberries and coated them so they would be distributed in the cake. (the recipe does not state that, but, from experience I always do that.)

I am also linking a blogger that has made the cake and thought you would appreciate her comments also.

Eva, I am linking my go to Blueberry Pound Cake, I posted several years ago....the recipe

was featured in Better Homes & Gardens and is my go to Blueberry Cake. Thought you might like to have it. The original recipe is from Blueberry Bay Farm, Stratham, New Hampshire that was featured in the magazine. If you do a search you will find their website and the recipe is there also.

The cake has been made by Cyn UpstateNY, Heather SF, and AngAK...if you do a search here for Blueberry Pound Cake the recipe will come up and you can read the comments on the cake by Cyn, Heather and Ang.

GeorgiaRose -I love both of them, however, the BH&G cake is a true pound cake

loaded with blueberries and the Bill Yosses Cake is more a Soaked Sponge Cake with Berries. Both equally delicious, but two different textures.

I just came inside after spending my lunch hour buying my first bundt pan!

Unfortunately, I ran into two book stores on my way back to the office so I came back a little late.... smileys/wink.gif

Anyways, I have the ingredienst, I have the bundt pan and now it seems I have two recipes to choose from. My DH is going to be thrilled! smileys/smile.gif

Eva, No matter what recipe you select.....the love going into your efforts will be appreciated!

GayR, my co-workers loved the cake and so did I smileys/heart.gif

I made the cake with blueberries (DH loves blueberries more than anything so that's the version I'm going for). I bought a silicone bundt pan yesterday, and it worked amazingly well (I was afraid it could be too soft to hold up the cake but it baked well and the cake slipped out like a dream.)

DH was visiting a friend last night so I baked the cake in secrecy and smuggled it to work this morning because I want this to be a surprise for him.

Since I can't eat a whole cake myself (well, I can but I shouldn't smileys/wink.gif I desided to share it with my co-workers and lo and behold, the cake disappeared within minutes (we were 10 people in the office today but good news travel fast....)

The cake got rave reviews and I loved it too. The blueberries came out wonderful in the cake and the orange glace really adds an extra level of taste. I know DH will love it too.

Also, aren't we three who have made this cake and loved it now? I think this cake should be in T&T because it's definitely a keeper.

Eva, So glad that you loved the Bill Yosses Cake. I am sure your husband will be thrilled on his

birthday.

The Bill Yosses Blackberry (Blueberry) Buttermilk Bundt with Orange Glaze has only been made by myself and now you....we need someone else to try it before it can go in tried and true.

The BH& G Blueberry Pound Cake can officially go in and I will type it up today.

I have placed the Blueberry Pound Cake under Cakes Forum. When someone else tries

the Bill Yosses Blackberry Buttermilk Cake I will place that in Cakes also.
