Just started a diet. Any favorite low cal/low fat recipes??

Sorry

there is no "just" in dieting.
I'm sorry if I sounded rude in my previous post smileys/frown.gif

What I meant was, are you looking for something spesific or low calorie in general??

Good question!

You weren't rude at all- I am trying to stick to low cal and am attempting to cut out "bad carbs" such as sugar, flour, etc. So meat and veggie based recipes would be great.

I just wanted recipes that ou guys find really tasty. Thanks for any help!

Lots of good Weight Watcher recipes...

See the URL below. Go for high fiber foods like whole wheat pasta, Mexican dishes with fresh veggies and all those wonderful beans, etc. Use olive oil instead of butter, but a little butter is fine.

Favorite weekend breakfast if watching weight:
3-egg omelet made with one whole egg and 2 whites. Beat eggs and pour into non-stick hot pan with 1/2 tsp butter and a little Pam if needed. When eggs are set, place 2 slices of Kraft 2% milk cheese slices (I like a combo of Swiss and American), chopped tomatoes, chopped fresh basil and a little chopped green onion. Flip omelet and cook until tomatoes are warm - just a minute or so. Voila! Or just cheese and dill. Or salsa, onions and cheese. Lots of combos. See the WW recipe link. And don't think "diet". Just "eat less and move more". And watch the fat intake, although some is good for you.

Welcome to the site!

Here is a link to a site I like. It focuses on cooking with whole foods and is very informative. You can search for recipes catering to certain dietary needs. They also have a recipe makeover section. Using their reference section (click on the food tab once there), you can find good information & recipes for whole ingredients: from acorn squash, to fish, to quinoa, to zucchini.
