Just took John Besh's recipe for make ahead oyster dressing out of the oven.

Cyn! Thanks so much for posting; I was looking for a good make-ahead oyster dressing

for tomorrow. My family likes oyster dressing, my husbands like cornbread, so I make both.
This recipe fills the bill and I'll fix it today.

Cyn, I just took this dressing out of the oven and it is delicious!

On your raves, I bought some oysters today and halved the recipe. I used some Cajun seasoning, a little sausage, diced prosciutto and Alleppo peppers. I tasted it when it came out of the oven and it scrumptious. Next year, I will make a full batch of this. Thanks for the heads up!

 
I loved it fresh out of the oven, but reheated, I didn't like it nearly as well.

I am going to make it again next year, but I will make it fresh next time. Thanks for the recipe Cyn.
