Great information.....I wish I had known that because I tossed a very healthy

tree out. I never throw out an ailing plant but usually move it to another part of the yard. I could not live with those awful 2 -3 inch thorns. I just knew my doggie was going to loose an eye!
I've printed out the info Mistral and I think I will go shopping again. Thanks!

 
WAIT! If the tree you tossed had 2-3" thorns it was not a kaffir unless it had . . .

figure "8" shaped leaves! If it had regular ol' citrus (ovate) leaves, it is good you tossed it

 
It DID have figure 8 leaves but after four years they went back to regular

citrus shaped and the thorns appeared. Huge, long, tough.....scary!
