Kefir: I saw an article in Consumer Reports within the last month or so

rating bottled smoothies. The Lifeway ones ranked very high and are made from Kefir. I have bought the Strawberry one twice and really like it. My question is, I'm intrigued by the idea of using plain kefir in frozen yogurt recipes. I think it would be nice as it is not quite as tart as yogurt. Since it is not quite as thick, would I just cut down the milk in a recipe? The few I found are all made with "alternative" sweeteners and such and I am not really interested in doing that. Anyone have ideas or has anyone already tried this? (For those of you who can't stand Kefir-I love buttermilk too so am not surprised I like this so much).
