Any thoughts on some kid-friendly foods for a St.Patrick's Day menu. I kinda want to do something but am at a loss. Thinking of an all-green meal which could be fun. Did a guinness cheddar fondue last year that the kids loved buy my husband despised. Thoughts?

Thanks.

Green jello, green cake (dyed with food coloring) or brownies w/orange frosting & rainbow sprinkles

How about some naturally green foods with the main course? Let's see - broccoli, green beans, cucumbers, green grapes, spinach(?), celery, peas - not too kid-friendly, now that I think of it! Maybe some carrots, sliced to look like gold coins (raw or boiled). "Rainbow Dippers" could be thin slices of green, red, and yellow bell peppers that you dip in ranch dressing.

Saw this idea too (making these, myself):

Gold Coin Cookies
To make "gold" cookies, take two Ritz crackers and spread peanut butter between them and dip in melted butterscotch morsels. Place on waxed paper to cool.

And/or gold-wrapped chocolate coins in a black bowl, mint-chocolate ice cream, green sherbet, and definately Lucky Charms cereal in a big bowl as an "appetizer". Shamrock shakes/smoothies (green sherbet with bananas), sliced kiwis, chunks of honeydew melon.

One trick I'd heard of was to put just a drop or two of green food coloring in the bottom of an empty glass and add milk. Magic happens - from leprachauns of course! You can do the same with 7-up. Have fun!
