Kitchenaid Multi Cooker...I am reading from bloggers, and general public

about this multi cooker. Most reviews are very positive. I am interested because I love my slow cookers, but dislike the browning step for meats, onions, etc. I would really like less clean-up and this unit seems to be the answer. Does anyone have any experience with the unit or know of someone who has it? Any feedback is appreciated. I have read reviews from bloggers who were given the unit by Kitchenaid, plus reviews on Amazon.

Chris over at Cafe Sucre Farine has been given one and she is loving it. I do wonder about the opinions of those who got the unit for free, that is a nice gift to receive. I really do want the searing part to be useful.

It looks like it is the equivalent of an Instant Pot (which is 6 qt.) and twice the price.

We gave an Instant Pot to our kids and they LOVE LOVE it.

Ditto on the instant pot! Use it all the time. It does the browning, slow cook, saute, yogurt,

etc, etc. I find that I do not slow cook as frequently, as I can just use the pressure cooker function, and let it hang out.
I use it ALL the time.
Bob Warden's cookbook was my inspiration for the purchase. I purchased the cookbook for $1.00, then spent 6 mo waiting for the best price on the IP. The irony is that I believe his book is supported by a different brand. But, once I started shopping around, I was hooked on the Instant Pot.

Take a look at a Facebook page w/ the Instant Pot Community. Lots of recipes / ideas / suggestions on how everyone uses their pot.

Best,
Barb
