Kwanza cake, explained....

I used to watch Sandra Lee years ago. Her set was always so matched with her

clothes, used to drive me batty. Then I stopped watching when she spent more time on fancy cocktails than the food. Is she still on?
I never made any of her recipes anyway...too much commercial products for me to want to consume. Not enough fresh herbs, and I cook a lot with citrus and zests, wine, and try to have a lot of veggies everyday.

Don't watch but she has a new show. Also has had breast cancer and is Mario Cuomo's

significant other. So much for converting to Judaism, I guess.
She "claimed" to have attended Cordon Bleu in Paris--well, not really. I think it was a tourist course any of us could sign up for.
She made a fortune in drapery hardware before "cooking".

Karen, Agree completely re: her set. I was so distracted with her matching clothes / appliances /

table scapes, that I could not follow the show.
I don't have an opinion on her ore recipes, as I honestly had to change the channel.... just did NOT like her set. I found it off putting, not inspiring....

Yep, she had a different colored KitcheAid each week, but never once used one.

She seems like a nice enough lady but I hated that the whole point of a cooking show would be that cooking is too hard to bother with. And all that plastic packaging and chemical addatives--UGH!
