Lamb burgers with Thai green curry guacamole experiment....it worked

Last evening I ground some lamb, made my usual lamb burgers and noticed I had several gorgeous avos ready to eat (avo season here). A few days ago I made a batch of fresh Thai green curry paste so I eyed that......I ended up making a sort of guacamole with the avo, some green curry paste, some Feta cheese and chopped tomato. I used Naan bread as the burger "bun", spread this stuff on the grilled lamb burgers and my Husband decided it was one of the best burgers he ever had. Who knew these ingredients would taste good together? I love it when something works.

So this was a Greek Thai Indian Mexican burger? That's amazing to be able to meld such disparate

and make it delicious. And it does sound delicious. I wish I had that kind of talent, but I definitely do not.

Just Greek, Mexican and Thai-but who is counting?

I just had a leftover half burger for lunch and it was almost even better COLD! How funny. I will make that mixture again.

You do have the talent- you just need to think about the ingredients, put them together in your mind and then try it. In this case I started with lamb which can take a LOT of spice and flavor before it gets overpowered and I went Greek in my mind but then I remembered the avos and the curry paste and just went for it. Pretty soon I didn't know WHAT I had but it was sure good.

I've never been to Hawaii, but I understand a poi dog

is someone of mixed race. (Not a derogatory term.) One of my favorite bands is called Poi Dog Pondering.
