Lana in FL, I dropped off the box at the PO Sunday morning. It's a flat-rate, so if you don't

get it by Friday, let me know.

(Of course, I have no idea what I'll do if you don't, but it seemed the right thing to say.)

In my rush to get it made/boxed and shipped on Saturday (ha!), I didn't include any notes inside the box other than the story with recipe. So you may want to deliver with a pint or two of ice cream. Our favorites are Ben & Jerry Heath Bar Crunch and (someones) Peanut Butter (can't remember if it's B&J or Haagen Daaz??). Meryl likes it with various Starbucks coffee flavored ice creams. But perhaps plain old 5-Ingredient vanilla would be best?

We also add sliced bananas because that way I can say I had fruit for dessert with verisimilitude. Not sure if Robert can eat those. Pureed perhaps? Oh! Flambeed with rum and butter, then pureed?? We need them calories!!

It's also good over roasted peaches with crunchy oatmeal cookie crumbles.

Definitely bananas flambeed with rum and butter! Great idea.

I wonder if you can can that (visions of bananas in frilly skirts - must be the rum). I'm sure it would hold for a day or so, the rum will preserve it. I think he likes vanilla best.

I'm glad you put in the story, though if you hadn't I was definitely going to print it out for her - it's a classic!

Oh my goodness, your suggestions have me drooling, I feel an urge to rush to the kitchen instead of writing lessons.

Marilyn, it was at my front door when I got home tonight.

They are stored safely in the fridge. I think she has a different lunch from me for the next two days, so I will take them over on Friday.

Thanks again!
