probably the old Gails', and some of the links don't work, but it's a great compilation of food articles from newspapers across the country and it was provided by Linda Stradley.

Most people here probably already have this, but just in case there are a lot of new people out there who like the food sections in newspapers as much as I do, here is the link.

My favourite ingredient at the moment is mustard >>>

Not because I love it more than anything, but I have so much of it I have to find more use of it smileys/smile.gif

Favorite Home Dish of the Moment: A chiken curry soup. I posted the recipe on this site earlier this week.

Can't live without gadget:I cannot live without my plastic containers. I keep everything in them - from spices and dry ingredients to left overs.

Best cooking tip: Always use a little more spice than the recipe says (I like tasty food!)

3 Essentials in your fridge: Cheese(-s), pesto and more cheese! smileys/wink.gif

Fave ingredient of the moment, dried beans; fave home dish of the moment, pasta carbonara >>

Can't live without: a good chopping knife.

Best cooking tip: don't rinse pasta (the sauce will slide off).

3 essentials in my fridge (ok, my in-laws' fridge): good pesto sauce, a wedge of Parmesan, and my aunt-in-law's homemade apricot jam. (It's great in vinaigrettes, marinades, slathered on pork chops, stirred in yogurt. Too bad we only have three more jars left.)

Favorite ingred of the month is TOMATOES! ;o)...

Favorite Home Dish of the Moment: Tuna-Noodle Casserole

Can't live without gadget: My pressure cooker

Best cooking tip: (Nick Stellino's) In place of porcini mushrooms, buy a small bag of dried porcinis, whiz them up in the food processor, and sprinkle the "dust" on cheap, button mushrooms. Refrigerate over night and the cheapies have the flavor of porocini mushrooms

3 Essentials in your fridge: Cheese; Mayo; Cold, cooked chicken

Fav ingred of the moment: Thai hot sauce, Fav Home dish: black bean salad

Can't Live Without Gadget: rubber spatula(bowl scraper)
Best Cooking Tip: salt in water when boiling eggs
3 Refrigerator Essentials: Ranch dressing, eggs, butter

Oh, my. Plastic Containers! I have bought so many and I keep giving food away and...

no one ever returns them. Like they're disposable? Get a grip. I want my containers back!!! I swear, someday, I'm going to sneak into my relatives' and friends' kitchens just to see if they have my stuff!
