Late post to Karen's post at 26378 about cleaning Le Creuset

I just saw the thread at 26378.

For enameled pans I use bubbly denture cleaner- the kind you drop into water and it fizzes and bubbles like mad. It takes off the stains.

My pots and pans look very used. Because they are. Most TV shows show brand new pots and pans- silly but they do. I keep my pots and pans very clean but they would win no beauty contest. They might win a cooking contest or two though.

Thanks, I did try the Soft and Scrub with an overnight application and it did a pretty good job

got the bottom looking much better but not the sides. I applied the paste to the bottom and should have rubbed it into the pot about a inch up the sides. We are going to reapply it after company leaves on Sunday.

I will try the fizzy denture application too. Need to pick some up. I have two more pans to work on. Mine look well used too, but I'd like them to look better inside.

I used Clorox once and ruined a roaster. Glad you had luck with it. I like the denture stuff.

Not full strength. We checked it with the LC customer service

Sorry it happened to you. I have done it for decades.

To be clear, I am talking about LC that has a white or light colored

interior enamel. I have an LC that has a black matte finish, almost sandpaperish finish. I would never use Clorox on that. I am only talking about smooth enameled interiors. No harm to mine using clorox=smileys/neutral.gif have 4.
