Lemon Soaked Jell-O Cake -yummy!
Had this at my mil’s yesterday and boy was it good! She had it covered on the counter and had planned to serve another cake for my sil’s birthday. Most of us went in and sneaked a piece of this instead.
Lemon Soaked Jell-O Cake
1 pkg. Lemon Duncan Hines Cake mix
1 3 oz. pkg. Lemon Jell-O
3/4 c corn oil
3/4 c water
4 eggs
1 t lemon flavoring
Mix all ingredients in order listed above. Bake cake according to package directions for a 1 layer or sheet style cake. Cool.
Topping:
Juice of 6 lemons
1 box (16 oz.) powdered sugar
Juice of 1 1/2 oranges.
Mix all of the above, then punch holes in cake with knife and pour topping over all. Cake will be soft with liquid.
