Long story about my Kindle fire :(...

I bought and could use a regular Kindle I did have to register online and they were so helpful. I can buy at Amazon too. I used the Kindle once, standing in a looooong line at the census office. Oh what a joy that was. next day the Kindle was dead. I returned it and they promised a replacement and said if I liked they would be getting the Kindle Fire and I could pay the difference...sure thing sounded a good deal.

In the meantime I have downloaded quite a few books to my PC which is the way I have to go and finally the Fire arrived yesterday.

Imagine my excitement...Imagine my annoyance....I could not download the thing and after talking to many Amazon on line personal...I got passed from pillar to post this time round...It appears I cant use the Fire here....Anyone know a way around this??

Only on the Fire?

I called the shop and they will come back to me as apparently they think all should be well!

Crisis over...my clever sprog (anyone younger than me is cleverer with gadgets, me thinks)...

just had a 'look' at the Fire and handed it back to me within two minutes, with all the books that I have stockpiled on the screen and the words "sometimes Mum you are so blonde," I have to agree. What was wrong? Neither of us are sure...but I certainly could not get it right even after countless tries. Sometimes it is a blessing having sprogs smileys/smile.gif

one thing I found out after having my Kindle for awhile, it just goes to sleep if you click the off

button on the bottom quickly---you have to hold it over to the right for a few seconds for it to go off completely(page goes completely grey). the batter lasts longer if it's off wifi and off completely.
