Looking for a foodie gift other than food?

My favorite foodie gift...

...is considered in poor taste most of the time but I can't help getting excited over a gift certificate to either Williams Sonoma or some other high-end equipment or ingredient place. I know that gift certificates appear not to be well thought out, etc., but a cert to a foodie place is obviously aimed right at the giftee's interests! I jumped for joy the last time I got a WS certificate. If you know the person likes LeCreuset, you could get a cert for that particular store.

Your foodie friend might be more apt to plunk down your money vs. his or her own on a luxury food item.
