Looking for advice. Going to purchase a new Refrigerator what is everyone's favorite

I don't think there are a lot of choices....I believe I was told there are two manufactures of

most appliances now. Just different names for them. Big freezer on the bottom is a plus and stay away from the small double door type for the refer section. I did see some bigger ones with double doors, but for me the double doors may be an issue because of space. I am not sure I would like to have the two doors to deal with. They require a lot of space and if you have it, it would be Ok.

At my sisters house, she has a double door. I can NEVER remember which side somethings in

So I always open both doors anyway. It's not well laid out and takes up way too much I side space...weird shelf configuration too

we just saw a Maytag at Home Depot marked down. it has the double doors with a bottom freezer

it had the ice and water feature on the door that we use all the time. but the best feature was a seperate narrow pull out drawer in between the top fridge part and the bottom freezer part that can be pulled out for those items you use a lot and don't have to open the whole fridge to get to them. we have a fridge(can't remember the brand, it's down at the cabin) with the double doors/bottom freezer, but the middle "handy" drawer is on the inside of the fridge, and goes all the way across the fridge so that you have to open both doors to get to the "handy" bin. not so handy. both DH and I looked at each other when we saw that outside drawer and said ahhhhhh. next time that's a feature we would look for. we like the french door fridge because trays(or a whole salmon) can fit easily.

gah, wish I could edit my subject line and take away the last "s" in salmons smileys/smile.gif

Barb, YOU HAVE THE POWER! (without the swelled head.) This would be more seemless

if the PM's worked.

Ah, but now Angie should check and see if she can still edit her message?

I found that when I corrected a Subject line for a user, the Message came under my editorial control and the poster lost it. That's why I never volunteer to correct titles. I'd rather the original poster be able to correct their recipe within the Message field than have a correct title and an incorrect recipe.
