Looking for Cherry Recipes?

Oooh, those cherry fritters look good. Wonder if I could use some jarred sour cherries that I

opened up a couple of weeks ago. They were good, but they're not moving out of the refrigerator too fast now!

 
The blue cheese cherry spread does it for me! Cherries are just in here. Question though - the

recipe calls for 1/4 cherries - 1/4 What?
a box, a pound? Any guesses. I don't think it will really be a problem since the quantity is def. adjustable but just curious

 
Hmm, yeah, that's wierd. I'd say 1/4 cup, or 1/4 pound. They're about the same, right?

I'm not sure if I'd like that one or not... sweet with blue cheese? Maybe!

 
Let's see... my mother says "a pint's a pound" (of water) so assuming that cherries are

mostly water and little fiber, a 1/4 cup would be 2 oz, or 1/8 lb, no? That doesn't seem right either!
