Looking for recommendations for a good rice cooker. Thanks

I have had two older Hitachi rice cookers, very basic models, purchased at thrift stores. . .

And they have worked very well for us. The current one has an on/off switch and a cook/warm lever. I only use it for white Thai Jasmine rice, which I can get pretty easily around here. For a one-trick pony, it does the trick well and for a long time.

We got a Hitachi Rice Cooker as a wedding gift in 1987 and just replaced it last year.

It was a trouble-free, reliable work-horse. We raised our two boys on the rice it made, so we used it almost daily. It never stopped working, we just wanted a smaller one.

Went back to cooking rice in the microwave

Want it to come out the way I've always made it smileys/wink.gif Not finding it takes more time or is harder than IP or rice cooker. Colleen
