Looks like a great grand opening for the PW Merc!

I looked up the Pawhuska news and saw the video. Gads, folks lined up before sunrise

and there were two people I saw on the news from NoCA!!

Where did you catch the news about it?

She posted a quick message on twitter or FB that she hadn't taken

any pics but the Tulsa World News had photos. You can find lots of photos there. It was very busy and it's such a beautiful store.

Plus there's more but I don't know where I found them. There was

also an article written before the merc opened about training the staff. I think it said there are 165 staff! Cute pics of young guys learning to make lattes.

Last I heard they had hired 200 people between the Merc and the warehouse across

the street, which is also a historic building. I also read that the town was having a resurgence even before the Drummonds bought the Merc, so their timing was great. Since they bought, an Indian tribe purchased another building and has turned it into a Native American Museum which is doing well, and now feels it will do better with the Merc as a huge draw.

Oh, this is not good

I was looking through the Drummond cooking products at Walmart online. Her style of product is not my style but I do find them charming, colorful, and well put together with the linen line. I came across a beautiful aqua set of eating utensils that caught my eye. The comments from buyers is not good at all. Most everyone complained of the forks, and knives breaking in half with little use, even when hand washing. I then looked at a line of dishes in Aqua and, again the comments for the dishes were not good with many stating that the dishes all cracked and chipped very easily. I hope this is not some ploy against her...I do not know if Walmart verifies the commenters as verified purchases. I do know that there was some negative comment awhile back about the products being made in China, but I do not know if that is true.

So, beware, if any of you plan on buying from her online store which opens in a few days or at Walmart, be sure to check out the comments and even ask the store clerks about comment from customers or about returns.
I would be devastated, but surely she is using her own products and knows how they are functioning...
