carrot sticks and crackers to munch along. we got a box of nice figs from the fruit truck that comes up here in the summer (treethings.com). I had never had figs before the last couple of years and we are really enjoying them. they don't keep for very long though. I would post a picture but I just have an empty plate now.

I don't mind dried figs but I cannot get past the texture of fresh figs, or the look of them

I have dried figs in my cheese drawer right now...think I will put them into a salad tomorrow.....you inspired me!
