book, the illustrations and the photographs are beautiful. The recipes are very homey, and great for a beginner or anyone for that matter.

The simplicity of the ingredients, meaning not 20 ingredients to make a recipe make it a nice book for some one learning to cook.

I am going to gift this to my niece as the moment I opened the book and glanced through it .... knew it was just right for her.

DH picked it up at BJ's for $19.99 it is a $29.95 list price. Canada $32.95

I had never heard of Debbie Macomber, nor read any of her novels...I am going to link her website.

Check amazon.com for reviews of this book.

I just finished "reading" her first novel in the Suzanne's Garden series on my ipod. it was easy

reading and the setting in Seattle and eastern Washington was nice since I've been there. I was trying out the download library from our public library and started with this book. It took awhile to figure it all out, and it takes some time to download, but it's pretty nifty for free. I downloaded 3 books for the airplane trip back to the midwest and it was great. I only finished this one. Check your public libraries online sites. most have this feature now. you can download to your computer or to CD or to a digital music device.
