Made Pasta Fagioli yesterday loosely based on this recipe. I think the ham really added some good

flavor to this recipe. ( ham bone was from Monte's Ham recipe in T&T that I made for Christmas) I used canned beans,( 2 cans was plenty) added an 8 oz. can of tomato sauce, used 5 cloves of garlic, added a powdered packet of chicken bullion, 1 tsp. thyme and a heel of locatelli cheese. This was so good and had a great flavor and aroma! I didn't use any water just all the broth from cooking the ham bone.http://allrecipes.com/Recipe/Pasta-e-Fagioli-III/Detail.aspx
