...when I neglected to include the raisins and walnuts the first time.
The second time, with the walnuts and raisins, was even better. Wow.
The only change I made is a minor one... I toasted and cooled the walnuts before adding them to the batter.
I haven't frosted them, and no none seems to mind. The butter rum fondant would obviously be good, and maybe someday I'll put some tangy cream cheese frosting on them. Gilding the lily, I think.
