Made several new cookies this year for the traditional cookie tray.

In addition to adding Judy's Nut Balls from Mimi and the Salty Peanut Butter Toffee Cookies from Charlie because of all the raves over them, I also tried and was very pleased with Chocolate Dipped Espresso Shortbread from Fine Cooking Cookies and Thumbprints from King Arthur Cookie Companion.

I slightly changed the Shortbread ones, using roasted cocoa nibs instead of the espresso because that is what I had on hand and they turned out wonderful! I also dipped in milk chocolate because I am a milk chocolate junkie.

The thumbprints were so good because of the nut flour included in the batter and some really good homemade black raspberry jam tucked in the thumbprint.

I aquired a Proctor Silex Super Shooter Plus Cookie Press and

I was very impressed with my heart shaped cookies, well after getting it down, all my cookies, I will try this recipe. I can't wait to try Sylvia's cheesethumbprint cookies with it too.
