but of course I made a few tweaks. We are eating it more like a dessert but I'll definitely have some for breakfast tomorrow morning! It's yummy!
I had challah which I prefer for French toast or bread puddings so that is what I used. I have a TON of frozen blueberries from my uncle who has too many blueberry bushes so I used them and used more like 3 cups of berries. I didn't really measure anything but the eggs and milk. I toasted the pecans with the butter and brown sugar and spread them on the top and then sprinkled even a little more brown sugar and turbinado sugar. Decided it would be good with a crumb topping so I made a simple crumb topping with brown & white sugar, melted butter and flour and put that on top. Baked it at 400 degrees until it was done - it was more like 30-45 minutes (think my oven is off - got to get it checked as this has happened a couple of times recently).
It's definitely yummy and a keeper. Will post pix later.
