2-4 lb pork loin roast

1 cup apple pie filling

1/2 tsp dried sage (or 2-3 sage leaves)

1/4 cup vinegar-based barbecue sauce

Fry pork over medium-high heat until browned on all sides. Place pie filling and sage on the bottom of the crockpot, and add pork roast.

Pour barbecue sauce on the top of the roast and cook on high for an hour, then turning down to low for 4 hours or until pork is done.

What bbq sauce did you use?

Aren't most bbq vinegar based? Or did it mean NOT tomato sauce based? This sounds wonderful and I have a recipe club with the crock pot theme coming up soon.

Can't wait to try it!
Thanks,

HI Melissa - I used a local (sort of) brand, Dinosaur BBQ. Yeah, come to think of it, most

are vinegar-based. I'm sure your favorite will do. You just want to cut the sweetness of the apple filling.
