Baked and cooled completely in a paper pan.

Refrigerated.

Food Savered.

Packaged in sturdy box for shipping.

Will it withstand a 3 day trip with out molding?

I would say your chances are 50/50. I would pack it in a box from a cold-storage facility...

...that is lined with styrofoam. Add a good-sized chunk of dry ice underneath and you'd be fine.

LOL at myself - ixnay on the food saver, it *really* vaccuums all available air

from the package and its contents!

I vote yes. It lasts three days at room temperature at your house, right? One other thought...

After you Food Saver it, you may want to freeze it, then ship. It will thaw enroute....

Yep. Freeze it, then ship. I just shipped priority 2 carved pumpkins and they arrived in 2 days in

great shape. The one I had in the house was moldy by the 2nd day after I sent the other 2. I guess it is colder "out there" than in here.

There should be a function on it that let's it seal more gently.... I do it for cereals and

delicate things that you don't want to crush. Oh - and a good hint is to freeze it first, then vacuum. Found this was good for liquidy things.

Actually mom use to send me nanna bread all the time in the mail-no problems

From LA up here is prolly at least a couple or three days as she sent parcel post (a letter takes 3 days).

Mom used all kinds of weird boxes - empty ceral and crakcers were often her favorite, and the nanna bread was just in foil, bagged, then 3 mini loaves fit into a ceral box and into the big box. Sue used the same for cookies wrapped in tissue paper then in the boxes or tins. Got this every year for the holidays.

Just packed them in a prepaid priority box well stuffed and surrounded by styrofoam beads (not the

dissolving kind)

My cookies to 7 days to reach their destination - Oy!

I'm guessing they weren't exactly 'the best' when opened.

wow. did you use a flat rate box? these are just great for mailing baked goods and get to the

destination quite timely.
