Blueberry Almond Coconut Steel-Cut Oats

1/4 tsp. almond extract
6 almonds crushed
1 tbsp. of dried coconut
1/3 cup steel-cut oats
1/8 tsp. salt
1 tbsp. whole flax seeds
1/2 cup blueberries
1 scoop vanilla milk protein blend
1 tsp. honey

After cooking steel-cut oats, mix in protein blend, almond extract, honey and flax seeds. Then remove from heat and top with almonds, coconut, and blueberries.

Hi Traca and everybody. I made this wheat berry warm salad last night and

not sure if I like all the chewiness---I cooked it for over an hour, and I think it's about as soft as it's gonna get. I used soft wheat berries instead of hard red. We're actually eating it tonight, so I'll see how it is after sitting and warming it up again.
