Make sure you write down your favorite recipes for the next generation (I loved this story)

I have done hand written cookbooks for all 3 of our children. I keep meaning to borrow

them back and add some more.

What a great story! Our family has three sets of recipes to save

my grandmother's baked goods, my father's invented recipes, and my mother-in-law's Portuguese recipes.I saved them onto Google Docs, and shared with my daughters, but they still call and say I've left something out and would I please add it. My sister asked for one of Dad's recipes once (greasy stew, don't ask), and I gave it to her over the phone - there was a short silence, then she said, "Do you realize you didn't give a single quantity for any of those ingredients?". So now I try to quantify, though my husband thinks it's hilarious when I add 'half a cup plus 2 tablespoons' of olive oil to one of his mother's recipes, when she just went glug with the bottle. But he has to admit it works every time.

Thanks for sharing! Made copies using TasteBook many years ago

Realized I haven't heard anything from them in a while and found that they have disappeared. I/we have the books and master recipe copies so we are not greatly impacted except by losing the opportunity to add to our books through their service. Colleen
