gifted some silicone rubber band type thingies. Went to look for them today, our very cool kitchen shop doesn't have them but had the pink ones you posted about over a year ago.

the rubber band type are disposable, before people went green, I was, because I am frugal.

so got the food loops, thing I am going to love them, used them tonight to wrap herb stems for a soup.

the amazon link you posted no longer works, but this is link to one on package.

do you still use them?

YEs, I do. I normally link them together as I most often need them longer. Sylvia, I got them at

Golda's Kitchen here, but has a big online business as well.

get this--it's +44 degrees and the schools have been closed for 2 days and no work either. ICE

the melting creates horrible ice sheets of our snow-packed roads. I could finally back out of our driveway and make it gingerly down our street this morning. I truly wish it would stay below zero till about April, so we don't have to put up with this ice mess more than once---like in the spring and then it's gone. But now, we know it'll get cold and snowy again and then the thaw will come and we'll have the ice again. grrrrr. playing hookey yesterday was fun though. I had picked up a cabbage earlier in the week and made a big pan of the best braised cabbage. It turned out too salty, but I boiled up some noodles and added them for a yummy meal---a whole week's worth. going out to dinner with my bookclub ladies tonight

yay!
