I just love it! Though I would back-up your files from G before it dies...
It's basically a clone, but I think it's just one guy so don't know how long term he'll be able to take it or how it will make money. (Though he recently mentioned getting additional financial backing.)
So, using G Take-out saved files to my HD so I can import someplace else if needed, as well as signed up with Feedly as a back-up.

I made the switch about a month ago. Easy to import your old feeds too.

Yep, it was easy. Had a bit of a hiccup being slow at first, but by afternoon everything was good.
